Daedalus Waterfront is supporting the next generation of local footballers after sponsoring new team tops for Crofton Tigers U12 in Lee-on-the-Solent.
The sponsorship is part of Daedalus Waterfront’s wider commitment to supporting the existing community while helping to shape a positive future for Daedalus Waterfront.
As plans progress to bring the historic waterfront site back into productive use, Daedalus Waterfront is focused on creating a place that honours its past while providing opportunities, green spaces and community facilities for future generations.
Crofton Tigers is a not-for-profit grassroots football team, with kit and equipment funded by parents and the support of generous local businesses. The sponsorship will help the club continue to keep football accessible and inclusive for its young players.
Paul Vincent, of Crofton Tigers U12, said:
“Grassroots football is all about community, from giving children the opportunity to stay active and develop as great role models, to bringing people together and giving something back locally.
“It’s fantastic that Daedalus have kindly sponsored our Crofton Tigers U12 team and we are incredibly grateful for their support. As a not-for-profit grassroots club, our kit and equipment are funded by parents and generous local businesses like Daedalus, helping us keep football accessible and inclusive for everyone.
“It’s also been great sharing stories with the children about what Daedalus meant to many of us growing up and I have no doubt that, in years to come, some of our own players may go on to work at, live at or benefit from the many opportunities being created through the development.

Daedalus Waterfront is also sponsoring the Lee Bowls Club shirts this year, as they work to create a mixed-use community at HMS Daedalus with homes, jobs, heritage, green spaces and places for people to connect, learn, play and thrive.
